Snow time!

One of my favourite pictures from 2012 ... don't we all look just so happy to be there - including the steward?

I am not sure how a month could go fast when we did so little! High hopes for cracking on with our training were dashed with - firstly excessive rainfall  meaning flooded sand school followed of coure by freezing temperatures and then  snow! As I write this everything is set for Rhaps to go over to Andrew  for another week's training - thank goodness we have the luxury of time on our side - comparatively speaking - this time round so there is no feeling of panic in what we have not been able to do.  January has been a -  just get thru it - kind of month...  I was due to give a little presentation at the local Pony Club's awards evening - only for it to be cancelled because of the weather. But it was great fun to sort out the pictures for a slide show - any excuse to see them all again - and I am now ready for the re-scheduled date next month! 

And as far as show time is concerned we are making plans... competitions this year will I think be mainly confined to this country and getting Rhaps and I out for some ring practice at local level. We will of course still aim to get to one of our all time favourite shows - the Hartpury 3* CPEDI in July but that may be the extent of our international excursions this year - giving ourselves time to train and save  money  towards a full on attack next spring in the run up to the World Equestrian Games which are only next year - eek!  Just writing about it makes me feel so excited..
