Walkin' on sunshine  - the dream...

Star Light - Moorsele Belgium 14th April 2012

GREAT NEWS - We are (definitely!) on our journey to London 2012 Paralympics -  you can follow us on my  Facebook page

Due to various issues with Pip sadly we have gone our separate ways. As difficult as the decision was at the time I do believe it was the right one and the competition in April in Belgium only confirmed my feelings - not an ideal place to be so close to the Paralympics but while I was in Belgium I got the green light
WE HAVE A DEFINITE ENTRY TO LONDON
and so now - after just a tad more paperwork and deadlines for LOCOG  - I am concentrating on finding my dream ride for London. We all fell in love with Star Light a borrowed horse in Belgium who had not done a dressage test before but had been a show jumper. He absolutely loved the atmosphere of the competition though and gave me so much confidence in a tricky and spooky arena - my thanks go to all who gave me this opportunity to ride him - and to Star Light!!

Some more exciting news... Trifast PLC recently came to my rescue in the form of sponsorship - thanks to their offer of a monthly training grant this will enable me to step up my program to include additional trainers and a fuller timetable. Added to this HJP Independent Financial Advisers have provided the funds for a new replacement competition jacket - much needed as my old jacket is now quite threadbare! My supporters page is growing!!

We did it - we got the qualifying score last July in Hartpury  - the first step on the ride of our lives to London 2012 - little did I know then of the roller coaster ride that would follow - never mind because the dream continues...

From the sandy beaches of the Virgin Islands where the dream began -

then  - a split second and your life is changed forever. It is up to you to decide which direction you take - my accident has led to many choices in my life since then - to be honest not all as I dreamed - but it has also led me to many more positive and rewarding results... after all where would any of us be without our dreams?
