September has gone so quickly... unfortunately heralding the end of summer - boo hoo!  Rhapsody comes home tomorrow after a week with Andrew - our last training session before Andrew goes to the states for his twice yearly clinics out there. Although we had no competitions during September there has nonetheless been plenty to do - as well as riding! I spent a very enjoyable day at the TTT - Training the Teachers of Tomorrow - watching Charles de Kunffy's classes  and evening demonstration... a totally inspirational day with the man who has just been inducted into the USA Equestrian Hall of Fame. I was also very flattered to be asked to present the Duke of Edinburgh Awards at the local Royal Alexander & Albert School  along with fellow Paralympian and friend, Laurentia Tan, who I first met when we both rode at the Diamond Centre many years ago. It was another inspirational day with a group of enthusiastic young adults who all showed grit and determination to achieve their own goals.
With the months marching on, Andrew and I have sat down to work backwards from next August and plan some dates in our diaries - it really does not seem all that long away now!  We now have regular provisional training sessions booked in going forward till April - and will take stock again at Christmas. It is so important to me - truly invaluable - to have the support and backing of Andrew in my training regime. The method that we have been able to adopt, with Rhaps going to him on a regular basis has proved to work on many fronts. Gill Maybury also maintains her regular check ups of Rhapsody, keeping him comfortable and pain free  - not to mention me too! I am so grateful that my team from London continues to support me!
