June has been another busy month - no surprise really as life will not calm down till September now. We have been training in Kent with Andrew J Murphy, competing at Oldencraig and Pachesham - finalising entries for Hartpury 3* international and culminated in competing by invitation at the British Summer Para Championships! The training has taken us to a new level - and while I am still not quite achieving that in competition the work is all going in the right direction. I have felt frustrated by the fact that the better Rhapsody is going the worse I seem to be riding - if there is such a thing as trying too hard....
But we have Hartpury Festival of Dressage and the CPEDI3* starting on the 8th July and this will give me the perfect chance to focus completely on the competition - and with Andrew J Murphy there I feel confident that all our hard work will show some results!
Also I took delivery of some super gear from Simple System just before Hickstead - new rug and saddle cloth for Rhapsody and new waterproof jacket for me... came in handy on Saturday! Thankfully all have cleaned up perfectly (unlike my breeches!) for Hartpury next week.... am very excited and can't wait... just a few (hundred) jobs to do before then!! :-)
