It is hard to believe it is the end of March already and only 3 weeks till we head across the Channel again, this time in the direction of Waregem, Belgium. The past months have been spent working hard at home with Rhaps - improving his fitness and shifting those excess Christmas pounds - for him and me!! - and was rewarded a couple of weeks ago when we won both classes at our first outing since last October! Another competition last weekend in good company and gale force winds was a boost to our confidence when Rhapsody contained his exuberance and remained focused (an issue for us in the past) with very solid marks and good results... .5% behind the winner in the BD qualifier.
Gill Maybury Chiropractor came to help me - not in her professional capacity this time but to film my tests for training purposes which I was very grateful for ( a clip is on Facebook) I usually go to local competitions on my own and her support was a real bonus. I was surprised really at just how much more relaxed I was having someone to talk to during my warm up etc. This is all great preparation for our first international - and the cherry on top will be added over the Easter weekend with a visit to train again with Andrew J Murphy! Looking forward to that!!
It is generally about now that I start feeling under a bit of strain with the planning and paperwork for our travels but this time I am feeling more relaxed knowing that my delivery of feed from sponsors Simple System Horse Feeds has arrived with their great range of feeds that Rhapsody loves...
